Introduction

This is the first academic monograph that comprehensively studies the cultural background, philosophical foundation, reasoning system and value concept of Bazi Numerology from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture and the comparison between Chinese and Western cultures.

From the point of view of modern system theory, this book divides the Bazi structure into two major networks, the Sun Lord and the Pattern, and then discusses their respective internal organizations, hoping to clarify the analysis and reasoning process of the traditional Bazi. In addition, “neutralization, circulation, and purity” are used as the three major principles for evaluating the success or failure of fate, and are compared with the fate of modern historical figures, thus revealing the wisdom of ancient Chinese culture contained in the horoscope. This book is also the best instructional material for beginners to get started.
